Customize “Recent” special folder- how???

Although not one of the big SD apps for most, RC is my favorite OD app but I can't seem to figure out how to customize the Recent special folder (or another workaround). What I’d like is to be able to (1) sort the recent files/folders by date (rather than alpha) (2) get more of the path displayed (some of my folders have similar names inside a project) and (3) limit the items either by date range (preferred) or

For those running Vista, the Recent Places shortcut is close what I’m seeking but displayable in a RC menu!

And like some others, the freakin' RC upgrade bug (unload RC…upgrade RC…loose settings) just bit me too…
